Did you know…
- It is estimated that up to 2.5 million Americans and many more worldwide are affected by chronic fatigue syndrome/myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME/CFS).
- Because the cause(s) of ME/CFS are not yet understood, there are no definitive diagnostic tests and no standardized effective treatments.
- Annually, ME/CFS drains $18-$24 billion from the United States economy, due to both direct medical costs and indirect costs such as lost work productivity.
- Workwell Foundation continues to be involved in research concerning ME/CFS. There are many potential projects on the horizon. Please check back soon for details.
